Shawdesh Desk: Legendary singers Runa Laila and Sabina Yasmin will sing in a concert to collect money for the treatment of Andrew Kishore, who has been undergoing treatment in a Singapore hospital.

The expatriate Bangladeshis are going to arrange the concert on February 9 for the legendary playback singer Andrew Kishore in Singapore.

Andrew Kishore was diagnosed with cancer on September 18 and his family needs more than Tk2 crore to bear the cost of his treatment.
So far, 12 chemotherapy sessions have been completed in three cycles. From November 26 the third cycle of chemotherapy had begun. Twelve more chemotherapy sessions are needed to complete the cycle.

The doctors have informed that for such a treatment, which will be completed in three months, the cost will be Tk 21,000,000.”

Reportedly, each chemotherapies, which have been given to Andrew, costs Tk900,000. Already Andrew’s family have spent well over Tk1 crore.
